v0.4 - Rebalancing


- v0.4: Major rebalance, added crates and graphical effects

  • Weapon Swapping now is done by pressing F/RMB instead of having individual buttons for each weapon
  • Added crates that spawn every 5 waves and drop coins and a health potion
  • Shortened charge duration of the bow and hammer
  • Crossbow fires slightly faster
  • Damage upgrade is now a 2 tier upgrade instead of a 5 tier upgrade
  • Rebalanced player damage and enemy health values to fit better with the upgrade system
  • Changed the prices of upgrades and weapons in the shop
  • Player hitbox is now smaller
  • The HUD now shows your current total coins
  • Game over screen now shows the coins obtained in the current run
  • Pressing the weapon swap buttons while attacking will now swap after the attack is done
  • HUD now shows which weapon you have selected
  • Added persistent effects to dead enemies
  • Fixed some stats not being recorded properly
  • Added some more detail to the background
  • The amount of enemies spawned stops increasing after 100 waves to avoid performance issues (placeholder)

- v0.4.1: Optimizing and changed dead enemy effects

  • Increased how many enemies spawn with each new wave (max spawn is now at wave 67)
  • Minotaurs spawn slightly less often
  • Replaced enemy parts with corpses
  • Increased the size of the area that enemies spawn in
  • Enemy collision hitboxes made smaller
  • Optimized some code to lessen performance drop at higher waves
  • Fixed bug where cactus enemies would get stuck at the edge of the arena
  • Coins no longer collide with each other

- v0.4.2: Fixed some more bugs

  • You can now pick up the Potion and coins during a dodge roll
  • Fixed the coin counter going behind the coin sprite after 100k coins
  • More optimization
